When Inspiration Corporation came back first in our Chicago team vote for which non-profit would receive a hefty gift this holiday season, I knew it was going to be a treat to deliver! It was a humbling privilege to surprise my friends at Inspiration with the check from Soliant, and a pleasure to know the money will be used so effectively.
Soliant has a fun way of giving back to our local communities: each quarter we choose a non-profit organization that will receive a share of our profits. At one of our Monday team meetings, people stepped up and pitched ideas … and then we voted.
I believe Inspiration Corp caught people’s eye not only because of what they do (assisting people affected by homelessness and poverty by offering career services, employment preparation training, tuition subsidies, employer outreach, and job placement & retention services) but also because of how they do it. They cloak everything they do “in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.” Read more here.
When Soliant team members volunteer at the Uptown location in a few weeks, some will take orders in their unique restaurant-style setting, and others will cook each meal made to order. Why all of the extra hustle when what people need is food in the belly? Because true customer service is much more than the product you deliver — it is about the whole package. Thank you, Inspiration Corp for your wonderful service to our community!
