Get our complimentary SQL Query Builder
Built as a FileMaker database itself, the tool provides a simple utility for writing and troubleshooting SQL queries, including abstracting field and table names, for use with FileMaker’s ExecuteSQL function.
Developed by Mislav Kos, read his more in-depth discussion in our blog. Feel free to post comments or questions as well. You can also check out our video walkthrough if you’d like to see how it works.
There are several excellent utilities available for constructing SQL queries for use with FileMaker’s ExecuteSQL function, but often developers who are versed with SQL prefer to type queries out manually instead of assembling them with a wizard or other mechanism.
That said, debugging can be a challenge and field and table names ideally need to be abstracted should they change later. This tool allows developers to quickly type queries and then test the results before deploying into a solution.
We hope you find it useful.
